Miss World 2024: Making cost of the crown, previous winner prize details and more

In just a few hours we will get to know who has been crowned Miss World. After 28 long years, India is hosting the Miss World event and we cannot wait to see what is happening. Contestants from 112 countries will be participating in the event.

How much does the crown cost?

The tradition of crowning with a tiara started in 1955. Since then the design has undergone multiple changes. The current design resembles the one in use in 1972. The design has remained unchanged since 1978. The estimated cost of the crown is ₹ 6 crores 21 lakhs. It is 4.3 inches tall and has an adjustable band. It is adorned with blue and turquoise sapphires.

What are the perks previous Miss World winners got?

The winner of Miss World receives international recognition along with a bejeweled Miss World crown. She also receives a handsome cash prize (Manushi Chillar took home 10 crores in 2017). Free travel around the world for advocating humanitarian issues, including hotel accommodation and food. Supply of makeup and hair products, shoes, clothes, jewellery, and more for a year.Access to professional stylists, nutritionists, and more. The winner also gets opportunity to work with best designers and photographers. She will also be the Brand Ambassador of Miss World Organization.
