Fashion scandal 101: Balenciaga unveils world's most expensive trash bag, here's how much it costs

Would you spend around 2 lakhs to look homeless? Well, this luxury brand wants you to! We get that luxury has gone down the comfort zone but has it become 'trashy' now? It seems so.

Recently, high-end luxury brand Balenciaga unveiled the world's most expensive 'Trash Pouch' which costs $1,790 or approximately Rs 1,42,569.

The Trash bag will be debuting in stores soon and will be available on Balenciaga's website. It's made of shiny calfskin leather and will be available in four colour combinations.

The upscale clothing brand's Trash Pouch looks exacltly like a garbage bag and is trending on social media. While some luxury lovers are thrilled to own the designer item, others are shocked.

However, this is not the first time that an international luxury brand has priced a kitsch item at such an extraordinary price. A few months back, Balenciaga launched a limited collection of overly distressed sneakers. The shabby-looking aesthetic sneakers were priced at a whopping $625 and $495 respectively. And that's not it, last year the high-end brand introduced the Checkered Carrier Bag for $2090 and the colour pattern definitely gave desi thaila vibes.
