As Pride Month is going on, LGBTQIA+ people are hopefully seeking the legal recognition of same-sex marriages in India. In May, the Supreme Court reserved its verdict on the petitions that were looking forward to a decision on the same.&nbsp;
Notably, there are 34 countries where same-sex marriage is legal. Out of 34, 23 countries have legalised same-sex marriage nationally through legislation and 10 of them have legalised same-sex marriage nationally through court decisions.

Nutritionist Kiran Kukreja shared a reel on her Instagram about it mentioning that she used 204 grams of oil to fry 6 pooris; the oil left after it was just 159 grams which means the amount of oil consumed in making 6 pooris is 45 grams.
Therefore, 1 poori contains 7.5 grams of oil and almost 67.5 calories. She further mentioned that the source of calories are saturated fats, so it is not advisable to consume pooris on regular basis, but only once in 2-3 months.&nbsp;

A latest research from the Proceedings of the Royal Society B found that masturbation without ejaculation just before s*x can increase arousal.
The study also highlighted that regular masturbation allows men to get rid of "inferior semen, leaving fresh, high-quality sperm available for mating, which are more likely to outcompete those of other males.&rdquo;
Masturbation also helps to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STI) by cleansing out the urethra.&nbsp;
Notably, this study is currently limited to men and benefits of masturbation in women are unclear. The study authors said that more data on female sexual behaviour are needed to better understand the role of female masturbation.&nbsp;

As per a new report, disposable sanitary pads generate about 14 kg of non-biodegradable waste in a lifetime by a woman while the number stands at 0.06 kg for menstrual cups.&nbsp;
Conducted by NGO ARTH (Action Research and Training for Health), the report &lsquo;Why India Needs to Move Beyond Sanitary Pads&rsquo; revealed that total non-biodegradable waste generated from menstrual products can be reduced by 99 per cent if one uses menstrual cups.
According to the Executive director of the NGO, Poonam Muttreja, menstrual cups are not only practical, hygienic, and cost-effective but offer a longer duration of menstrual hygiene. Women should be aware of them and myths around their use need to be busted.&nbsp;

People suffering from Long Covid have a lower quality of life regarding health than patients of some advanced cancers, according to a study conducted in the United Kingdom.
Health-related quality of life scores of Long Covid patients were lower than those of people with advanced metastatic cancers, like stage 4 lung cancer, as per a Guardian report quoting the study.
The impact of Long Covid on daily activities of patients was worse than for stroke patients and similar to people with Parkinson's disease, as per research by University College London and the University of Exeter.
Co-author of the study Prof William Henley said that Long Covid can leave people with worse fatigue than cancer, but support and understanding is not at the same level.
