Mumbai, June 20 (PTI): In a significant law enforcement action, Mumbai police have apprehended a woman for allegedly operating a sex trafficking ring. The arrest followed a police raid on a restaurant situated in the western suburbs, as disclosed by an official on Friday.

Acting on a reliable tip-off, a crime branch team conducted a raid late Thursday night at an establishment on Chincholi Bunder Road in Malad (West). The operation involved using a decoy customer to ensure the capture of the suspect.

According to the official, the successful operation led to the arrest of the accused woman and the rescue of a minor girl alongside two other women. The woman has been charged under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, with further investigations currently in progress.
