Windshield of Go First's Delhi-Guwahati flight cracks mid-air

In yet another mid-air scare, the windscreen of a Go-Air First flight from Delhi to Guwahati cracked forcing the plane to land in Jaipur.

Civil aviation authority DGCA officials told media that the A320neo aircraft did not return to Delhi due to bad weather and was diverted safely to Jaipur.

This is the third incident of technical malfunction on a Go First aircraft in two days.

On Tuesday, Go First's Mumbai-Leh and Srinagar-Delhi flights faced engine snags and both planes were grounded by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

There have been multiple technical malfunctions in planes flown by Indian carriers since June 2022. Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has held multiple meetings with airlines and the DGCA officials to ensure safety oversight.
