An NCB witness in the case earlier this week made the bribery charge against Wankhede claiming that 25 crore were demanded to release Aryan Khan after the raid. He had further alleged that Sameer Wankhede was to get 8 crore from the bribe money, which was settled at 18 crore. Sameer Wankhede has denied all the allegations.

The Narcotics Control Bureau had asked its vigilance section to investigate the issue. Wankhede on Wankhede on Wednesday recorded his statement for more than four hours before a team headed by NCB Deputy Director General (northern region) Gyaneshwar Singh.
