'When we reach Pak Occupied Kashmir...': Rajnath Singh at Indian Air Force event in J&K

India's defence minister fired strong words at Pakistan at an event to mark the landing of Indian Air Force troops in Srinagar in 1947 to battle forces sent by Pakistan.

Rajnath Singh apparently hinted at Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) once again becoming a part of India. The BJP leader said, "We have just begun our journey of development in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. We will achieve our goal when we reach Gilgit and Baltistan."

The minister called out Pakistan for its double standards on human rights. Singh said that Islamabad will have to "bear consequences" of "atrocities" committed on people of PoK.

Commenting on the scourge of terrorism, Rajnath said that the "tandav" of terrorism that Jammu & Kashmir has seen in the name of 'Kashmiriyat' is indescribable.

The minister also appreciated the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status by his government in August 2019. He said that discrimination against the people of Jammu and Kashmir ended under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership when Syama Prasad Mookerjee's dream of J&K's full integration was achieved.
