Watch: Indian soldiers jump out of airplane in mega paratrooper exercise amid China tension

The Indian Army released a thrilling video of paratroopers jumping out of an airplane during an aerial exercise. Around 600 paratroopers of the Indian Army's Airborne Rapid Response Teams conducted large-scale drop exercises.

The video was captured by a body camera on a paratrooper who jumps out of a plane and deploys his parachute. The horizon is seen littered with many descending soldiers.

The objectives reportedly included advanced free-fall techniques; insertion, surveillance, and target practice; and seizing of key objectives by going behind enemy lines.

The drill was reportedly carried out near the strategically important Siliguri Corridor in eastern India. The corridor connects northeastern states with the rest of the country. The narrow passage is surrounded by Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh.

The exercises were conducted on March 24 and 25, coinciding with Chinese Foreign Minister's India visit to discuss the military tension along the Line of Actual Control, or LAC, in Ladakh.
