An elephant was spotted at a local shop in Guwahati treating itself to bread, biscuits and some sweets. According to multiple news outlets, the elephant travelled 6.4 kms from the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary in Guwahati before stopping at the shop.

A viral video of the incident showed the jumbo helping itself to treats available at the shop. When the owner of the shop tried to scare it away by lighting a paper on fire, the animal withdrew but not before taking some goodies with it for the journey home.

The elephant is reported to have made it safely back to the sanctuary.
