Causing a big scare, a cheetah which was brought to India from Namibia, reportedly strayed into a village in Madhya Pradesh on 2 April 2023.

The wild cat entered the Jhar Baroda village, which is around 20 km from the Kuno National Park, according to news agency ANI. The wayward cheetah was identified as 'Oban'.

Forest officials said that a monitoring team had reached the village, and efforts were underway to bring the cheetah back to the national park.
