Video: Malayalam actors allege sexual abuse at mall; police orders probe

A Malayalam actor on Wednesday shared her ordeal alleging how she was sexually abused during a film promotion event at a mall in Kerala, last night.

Taking to Instagram, she shared her anguish over the incident as she raised concerns over the sexual frustration of people.

The video which has now gone viral shows the Kerala actor being groped by a crowd, comprising largely men as she tries to make her way at a mall in Kozhikode with her female-co star.

The visibly upset actor can be seen hitting some men in the crowd as they made it difficult for her to pass through.

In response to the actress' post, the police have now ordered probe into the matter. Efforts are on to identify and trace those who abused the actors, an NDTV report stated.

Another female actor who was present during the promotional event also shared the harrowing experience of how she was subjected to sexual abuse by the crowd.
