Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the release of Rs 350 crores from the MLA Fund Scheme for the development works of assembly constituencies, granting Rs 500 lakh per MLA for the current financial year 2025-26.

The allocation follows a distribution of 78 percent for General, 19 percent for SC, and 3 percent for ST constituencies.

As per the scheme, several development projects have been sanctioned. In Pauri Garhwal, Rs 3.71 crore has been allocated for constructing a new motor road from Dehalchori to Kanda temple via Chamapani-Dhaulkandi in the Pauri assembly constituency.

In Haridwar, Rs 5.44 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a 36-meter span pre-stressed RCC bridge over the Pathri Roh river near Sukarasa village in the Pathri to Bahadarabad road in the Haridwar rural constituency.

In a related development, Chief Minister Dhami expressed pride as Uttarakhand secured second place for financial performance among small states in a Financial Express ranking. He attributed this success to the state's effective policies, hard work, and the public’s trust in the government.

CM Dhami emphasized the administration's focus on financial discipline, education, healthcare, digital services, and justice.
