Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a meeting at his official residence on Thursday to review key administrative matters.

According to an official statement, CM Dhami instructed officials to strengthen the anti-corruption campaign and submit detailed reports on the progress of cases related to conversion.

He also emphasized the continuation of the verification campaign, stating that "immediate and strict action should be taken upon receiving information about any suspicious activity or person."

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of ensuring that Aadhaar cards and other government documents are issued only after proper verification to prevent any irregularities.
On the issue of property encroachment, Dhami directed officials to persist with the ongoing drive against illegal occupation and ensure that land cleared of encroachment remains protected. He further called for a detailed assessment of enemy property encroachment and a comprehensive report on the matter.

During the review meeting, Dhami highlighted the need to prioritise local workers for construction projects involving government buildings, with a focus on integrating the state's cultural heritage and traditional mountain architecture into their designs.

He also instructed officials to enhance security in border areas by launching intensive checking campaigns to maintain vigilance and safety.

In a separate event on the same day, Chief Minister Dhami, accompanied by Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.), offered prayers at Gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib in Rishikesh.

The two leaders were set to flag off the first batch of pilgrims for the annual pilgrimage to Shri Hemkunt Sahib Gurudwara in Chamoli district, marking the beginning of the pilgrimage season.

Hemkunt Sahib, regarded as Uttarakhand’s fifth Dham, is a highly revered Sikh pilgrimage site visited by thousands of devotees from across the world every summer. Situated beside a lake, the Gurudwara is believed to be the meditation site of the 10th Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh.
