Uttarakhand CM Dhami highlights ongoing efforts to preserve the state’s cultural heritage

Uttarakhand is actively working to preserve and promote its rich cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Highlighting this effort, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated, "...The work of laying the foundation of a new cultural renaissance in the country by building a grand and divine temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya has been accomplished under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Along with this, our local economy is also getting a boost through initiatives like 'Vocal for Local' and 'Make in India'. Taking inspiration from this, continuous efforts are being made to preserve cultural heritage in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand."

Dhami participated in the Uttarayani-Makarain Mahotsav, organized in Ghaziabad by the Mountain Migrant Jan-Kalyan Samiti.

He welcomed attendees and described the festival as a vibrant representation of Uttarakhand’s culture, traditions, and unity.

Praising the organizers, he said their efforts to safeguard Uttarakhand's heritage were commendable. He added that such events not only celebrate folk art and music but also strengthen the bonds among Uttarakhandi migrants.

The festival featured traditional handicrafts, organic products, and authentic Uttarakhandi cuisine.

Encouraging people to invest in their ancestral villages, Dhami urged Uttarakhandis to contribute to local development by promoting self-employment and small industries.

He emphasized that various infrastructural projects, including road connectivity, drinking water supply, education, health services, and transportation, are progressing rapidly. Key initiatives such as the Kedarnath reconstruction, the master plan for Lord Badri Vishal’s complex, the development of all-weather roads across the four Dhams, and the Mansakhand Mandir Mala Mission are all being implemented to boost Uttarakhand’s development.
