Additionally, the government has sanctioned ₹512.46 lakh for the construction of a 48-meter span steel girder bridge over the Ragganga river. The bridge will be built along the Malkot Kalimati Sera–Tiwakhark motor road in Gairsain block, Karnaprayag Assembly constituency of Chamoli district.

In a move to support the education sector, the Chief Minister approved an increase in the annual budget for Sainik School, Ghorakhal, Nainital—from ₹5 crore to ₹8 crore. The enhanced funding is aimed at improving the financial health and operational efficiency of the school.

For fire services, CM Dhami also approved a budget of ₹23.667 crore for their expansion and modernisation across the state.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Dhami met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi to discuss critical matters concerning Uttarakhand. During the meeting, he urged the Defence Minister to merge Ranikhet and Lansdowne Cantonment areas with the respective municipalities to boost tourism and improve public amenities.

He also sought approval to utilise the military helipads at Dharchula and Joshimath under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) air service. Furthermore, the Chief Minister requested a waiver on the fees charged by the Indian Air Force for participating in disaster relief and emergency operations in the state.

Highlighting the religious and cultural significance of the upcoming Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra in 2026, the Chief Minister appealed to the Union Minister for the continued maintenance of the Tharali Dewal–Mundoli–Van motor road via Nandkesari by the Public Works Department.

"This is an important journey organised every 12 years, which is proposed for the year 2026. This Yatra is a symbol of the state's religious and cultural faith," said CM Dhami.

The Union Defence Minister assured positive action on all the proposals raised during the meeting.
