Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami sanctions ₹1,269 lakh for infrastructure projects across multiple districts and approves a 2% DA hike for employees and pensioners.

Uttarakhand: CM Dhami approves ₹12.69 crore for development projects, hikes DA by 2%

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned ₹1,269 lakh (₹12.69 crore) for various infrastructure and development projects in the districts of Nainital, Rudraprayag, Almora, Chamoli, and Pauri Garhwal.

These approvals cover motor roads, bridges, police infrastructure, fire services, and welfare provisions, as per an official release issued on Wednesday.

In Nainital district, CM Dhami approved ₹505.71 lakh for constructing a motor road from Dooni Khal to Rati Ghat (Padli) in the Betal Ghat development block under the Nainital assembly constituency. Additionally, ₹319.20 lakh was sanctioned for building a 24-meter RCC bridge over the Nihal river on State Highway-41 under the Kaladhungi assembly constituency.

In Rudraprayag district, ₹444.66 lakh was cleared for strengthening and ensuring road safety between km 01 and 05 of the Khankra Chhatikhal motor road in the Augustmuni development block of the Rudraprayag assembly constituency.

For Almora district, ₹475.25 lakh was sanctioned for constructing the administrative building of Police Station Deghat.

On Tuesday, CM Dhami had also approved ₹344.98 lakh for strengthening and asphalting the Tugdunda Bhainswada motor road in Pabo development block, Pauri assembly constituency of Pauri Garhwal.

The Chamoli district will see ₹512.46 lakh allocated for the construction of a 48-meter steel girder bridge over the Ragganga river on the Malkot Kalimati Sera Tiwakhark motor road in the Gairsain development block, Karnaprayag assembly constituency.

In Kaladhungi assembly constituency of Nainital district, ₹183.47 lakh was approved for the reconstruction of Nigam Nala Wala road and a new road from Soban Ram's house to Suresh Bhatt's residence. Moreover, ₹528.91 lakh has been allocated for constructing the Chaudmanya-Kamatoli motor road in the Gangolihat assembly constituency.

Additionally, the Chief Minister has approved an increase in the dearness allowance and dearness relief for regular employees and pensioners in public undertakings, corporations, and bodies operating under the Seventh Pay Commission framework. “The dearness allowance and relief will increase from 53 percent to 55 percent from January 1, 2025,” the statement said.

To further support educational development, CM Dhami approved increasing the annual budget allocation for Sainik School, Ghodakhal (Nainital), from ₹5 crore to ₹8 crore for its smooth functioning and financial strengthening.

He also gave the green light to ₹23.667 crore for the expansion and modernization of fire services across Uttarakhand.
