Foreign pilgrims applaud Uttarakhand’s efficient Char Dham Yatra management

The ongoing Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is attracting enthusiastic participation not only from domestic pilgrims but also from international devotees.

Foreign visitors have praised the travel management and hospitality provided at the Yatra Transit Camp in Rishikesh.

Managed by the Chardham Yatra Administration Organization, the Yatra Transit Camp offers a smooth and convenient experience for pilgrims, including registration, health check-ups, and free meals.

Special arrangements, such as dedicated registration counters, have been set up specifically for foreign pilgrims.

On June 4, Thomas from Britain visited the transit camp and appreciated the simple and informative registration process, noting the clear guidance given about the travel routes for the Char Dham Yatra.

Earlier, on May 30, a group of 17 pilgrims from Taiwan arrived at the camp for their journey to Gangotri and Yamunotri Dhams. Many in the group were over 60 years old and expressed gratitude for the pre-journey health check-ups available at the registration center.

Similarly, Russian nationals Rahul and Tushar undertook the Badrinath Yatra on May 19, while Canadian Rituraj Kalra and American Ravinder Bhatti also visited Badrinath. They all praised the dedicated registration facilities for foreigners, the cleanliness of the area, and the courteous behavior of local officials.

American residents Kulesh Karan and Devisha Kulesh Karan, who visited Gangotri and Badrinath, also commended the arrangements and administrative efforts.

So far, 8,486 foreign pilgrims have registered at the Rishikesh transit camp for the Char Dham Yatra. The government is working extensively to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for all visitors, both domestic and international.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that the administration has been directed to stay alert throughout the Yatra to ensure a pleasant and secure experience for all visitors to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.

Key highlights of the Yatra Transit Camp, Rishikesh, include:

- 24 registration counters operating in three shifts (day and night)

- 35 mobile registration teams deployed

- 6 counters at ISBT Rishikesh

- 4 counters at Shri Gurudwara Sahib, Hemkund, Rishikesh

Over 11,000 pilgrims have received medical care at the transit hospital

The appreciation from international pilgrims highlights the effective planning and execution of travel services by the state government and Yatra administration.
