According to media reports, these buses will have a seating capacity of 45, an increase from the initially planned 36.

Haryana to launch 45-Seater electric buses, starting January 26

Haryana is set to introduce electric buses from Republic Day 2024. The operation of these buses will commence in Panipat and Yamunanagar. The Roadways department has decided to operate 375 buses, with 5 of them starting their service on January 26th. The remaining 371 buses are expected to be operational across the state by April.

For these buses, 12 charging stations have been set up across 12 districts in the state. Each charging station will have 10 to 12 points, allowing up to a dozen buses to be charged simultaneously. These buses will be operated not only in urban areas but also in rural regions. According to media reports, these buses will have a seating capacity of 45, an increase from the initially planned 36 and later 40-seater buses, but the final decision has been made for 45-seater buses.
