CM Yogi Adityanath lays foundation for Rs 724 crore projects in UP's Kasganj

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday, laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth ₹724 crore in Kasganj district.

Addressing the gathering at the event, CM Yogi praised the Indian Army's might and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for its strengthening over the last decade.

"Under Prime Minister Modi's guidance, India's brave soldiers have defeated Pakistan. If we did not have a strong army, how would the people of the country have remained safe in the presence of enemies like Pakistan? Pakistan is pleading with the world to spare it once. This is because, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership in the last 10 years, work has been done to modernise and strengthen the army. Continuous efforts have been made, and this is the reason why the Indian Army is always ready to face any enemy. If the enemy dares to do something, then the Indian Army has the full capability to enter its home, kill, and destroy it," CM Yogi stated.

During his visit to Kasganj, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and reviewed facilities at the Kasganj Police Line, including new police barracks and an auditorium.

A day earlier, CM Yogi chaired an important review meeting of the Cooperation Department. Emphasising support for small and marginal farmers, he underlined the need for easy and affordable credit access. He urged officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’ and directed improvements in the capacity and reach of cooperative banks, along with modernisation of their branches.

The Chief Minister also highlighted major achievements in the sector, noting that loan distribution through cooperative banks crossed ₹23,000 crore by 2025, a significant feat over the past eight years. Efforts toward the digitalisation of MPACS committees are underway, with computerisation progressing across more than 5,000 such units.

He further directed that direct recruitment in the cooperative sector be conducted through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to ensure higher service quality. Plans are in motion for the construction of warehouses with 500 to 1000 metric tons of capacity, and 16 districts are currently preparing for the implementation of the grain storage scheme.

CM Yogi concluded, "Through cooperation alone will the dream of a self-reliant farmer be realised."
