CM Yogi Adityanath holds Janata Darshan in Gorakhpur, orders strict action against land grabbers

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath heard the grievances of more than 200 people during the Janata Darshan held on Monday at the Gorakhnath temple complex in Gorakhpur.

He directed officials to ensure prompt redressal of complaints and reiterated the government’s commitment to “prosperity for every household and justice for all.”

During the interaction, the Chief Minister issued clear instructions to officers to take tough measures against those involved in illegal land grabbing. He said that land belonging to the poor must be immediately vacated if encroached upon and that offenders should face legal action.

"No strongman will be allowed to occupy land or exploit the weak illegally. Such elements must not be spared," he stated.

CM Adityanath personally reached out to the people seated outside Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan and listened to their problems individually. According to a statement from the CM’s office, he forwarded applications to the concerned officials and asked them to ensure swift and satisfactory resolutions.

In one case, a woman complained that her land had been illegally occupied by a strongman. The Chief Minister immediately ordered the administration and police to take action and free the land, stressing that “no influential person would be allowed to oppress the poor.”

As in previous Janata Darshans, several individuals sought financial assistance for medical treatment. The Chief Minister assured them of full government support and instructed officials to prepare the required estimates and forward them for quick approval. He also directed that matters related to revenue and police be resolved with transparency, fairness, and sensitivity to ensure justice for every victim.

Earlier in the day, CM Adityanath also attended the inauguration of a green hydrogen production and blending facility in Gorakhpur. Sharing a post in Hindi on X, he wrote, "This plant, along with research, will connect our youth power with innovation, paving new paths for their progress.
