The Kashmir Files protest: Punjab cops arrest BJP leader Tajinder Bagga from his Delhi home

BJP leader Tajinder Singh Bagga was on Friday morning arrested from his Delhi home by the Punjab police who were acting over a complaint against him.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha national secretary was booked after AAP leader Sunny Singh filed a complaint against him alleging that Bagga had made provocative statements, spread rumours, and tried to create religious and communal enmity.

"They punched me in the face when I tried making a video of the arrest. They even took away my phone. At 8:30 am, they dragged Tajindar outside," his father told ANI.

Bagga allegedly threatened Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during a protest on March 30. The complainant also submitted statements and video clips of Bagga to the police.

The BJP condemned the arrest and targeted Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Bagga had sought apology from Kejriwal over his remarks on a Bollywood film The Kashmir Files in March. Soon after he was booked, the BJP leader had released a video.

Kejriwal had teared into the Opposition BJP over its demand to make the film tax free in the national capital.
