Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri makes her poll debut

Late Sushma Swaraj's daughter Bansuri Swaraj is all set to make her election debut in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The BJP on March 1 announced that Bansuri will be contesting from the New Delhi constituency.

After the announcement, the BJP leader expressed her gratitude to PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda.

"I feel grateful. I express gratitude towards PM Modi, HM Amit Shah ji, JP Nadda ji and every BJP worker for giving me this opportunity. With the resolution of 'ab ki baar 400 paar', every BJP worker will work to make Narendra Modi the 'PradhanSewak' for the third time," she told ANI news agency.

Bansuri Swaraj entered active politics in March 2023 after she was appointed as the co-convener of the legal cell of the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party.

About Bansuri Swaraj?

• Bansuri Swaraj practices law in the Supreme Court.
• Swaraj enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 2007 and has 16 years of experience in the legal profession, according to a statement from the Delhi BJP.
• After her undergraduate studies from the University of Warwick with a BA (Hons) in English Literature, she went on to study Law at BPP Law School in London.
• She qualified as a Barrister at Law and was called to the bar from the Inn of Inner Temple, London. Thereafter, she completed her Masters of Studies from St Catherine's College at the University of Oxford.
