Sarkar is also slated to meet the affected families in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

The region has been reeling under the impact of torrential rains that have triggered landslides and floods, resulting in the death of 30 people with several others missing throughout North Bengal.

The Bengal Congress took proactive steps by forming a dedicated committee on Monday to coordinate disaster response efforts in North Bengal, aiming to facilitate aid to those in distress, as stated by the official.

Sarkar plans to deliver a comprehensive report to the higher party leadership following his visit.
