Sonia Gandhi Stable After Hospitalization for Stomach Issues

New Delhi, June 16 (PTI): Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is stable after being admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to a stomach-related issue, according to an official statement. The 78-year-old leader was hospitalized on Sunday evening. Dr. Ajay Swaroop, the Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, stated, "She was admitted to the hospital at 9 pm on June 15, 2025, under the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology for a stomach-related issue. She is currently stable, and doctors are closely monitoring her health." On June 9, Sonia Gandhi underwent a medical check-up at the same hospital. Two days prior, she had tests done at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla following complaints of high blood pressure.
