'Should be hanged': father of man accused of raping 12-yr-old girl in Ujjain

The father of the man who has been arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Ujjain has said that his son should be hanged.

Calling the incident a shameful act, he said that he had not gone to the hospital to meet his son and would not go to the police station or courts.

“It is a shameful act. Neither have I gone to the hospital to meet him, no will I go to the police station or courts. My son has committed a crime, therefore he should be hanged,” the accused Bharat Soni's father told reporters here.

Soni, who is an autorickshaw driver, was injured after he tried to flee when police took him to the crime spot for investigation.

He was arrested three days after the victim was found walking on the city streets in an injured condition and the locals denied her help.
