JODHPUR: A significant three-day nationwide coordination meeting involving senior functionaries from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its affiliated bodies commenced on Friday in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, along with general secretary Dattatreya Hosbale, are present at the meeting, which focuses on extensive deliberations concerning essential national issues around unity, security, and social perspectives.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) national president JP Nadda arrived in Jodhpur on Thursday evening to participate in this assembly.

Main topics of discussion include enhancing social harmony, reinforcing family structures, promoting eco-friendly lifestyles, establishing self-reliant frameworks, and focusing on citizens' duties alongside examining the socio-economic conditions across various regions of the country.

About 320 delegates from 32 allied organizations have gathered in Jodhpur for this event.

The participating organizations will present their annual reports, detailing their activities, experiences, and achievements, as confirmed by RSS office bearers.

Participants include the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which works among students; Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, which serves farmers; Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, addressing labour concerns; Vidya Bharati, which is involved in education; and SAKSHAM, which supports the differently-abled, among others.

The discussions will also focus on the socio-economic situations prevalent in different regions such as Punjab, West Bengal, Assam, and tribal areas of the northeast.

The meeting will assess the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and discuss the path forward to positively steer the education sector.

Efforts to integrate tribal communities into the mainstream and the ongoing positive social transformations will also be reviewed.

Additionally, preparations for the centenary celebration of the RSS in 2025-26 will form a part of the discussions. Starting from October 2, 2025, the centenary events will commence under the guidance of the sarsanghchalak during Vijayadashami Day in Nagpur.

From that day, swayamsevaks across the country will commemorate Vijayadashami by donning full uniforms at the local mandal, village, and basti levels. The centenary year will feature Hindu conferences, home contact programs, harmony meetings, intellectual gatherings of eminent citizens, and youth programs across India.

This meeting is not intended for the adoption of resolutions but rather serves as a forum for dialogue, collaboration, and inspiration among the organizations. Based on the shared experiences and ideas, each organization will independently determine its course of action moving forward, according to RSS office bearers.

The gathering, following the sarsanghchalak's recent program in Delhi, is viewed as an opportunity to amplify efforts to disseminate the RSS's ideology to diverse societal segments.
