Republic Day 2025: How to grab your spot at the iconic parade – booking made easy!

As India gears up to celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, all eyes will be on the grand celebrations at Kartavya Path in New Delhi.

This historic day marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution, and every year, the Republic Day parade brings together the spirit of patriotism, culture, and unity like no other.

Good news for those who want to witness this iconic event live! The Ministry of Defence has made ticket booking simpler this year, offering both online and offline options to ensure everyone gets a chance to be part of the celebrations.

So, whether you're in the capital or planning a visit, here’s your guide to snag those tickets.

How to Book Tickets Online

Booking tickets for the Republic Day events is just a few clicks away! Here's how you can do it:

  • Head over to the official ticketing website: www.aamantran.mod.gov.in.
  • Choose the event you want to attend – the grand Republic Day Parade or the charming Beating Retreat Ceremony.
  • Enter your ID details and mobile number for verification.
  • Select your tickets, make the payment, and voila – you're all set!

How to Get Tickets Offline

If online isn’t your style, don’t worry – offline counters are open too.

Starting from January 7, you can grab tickets at designated outlets across Delhi until January 25. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Visit an authorised ticket counter with your original photo ID and a photocopy. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, passport, or driving license.
  • Choose your ticket category: Reserved seats cost ₹500, unreserved seats are ₹100, and unreserved seats with limited views are a steal at just ₹20.
  • You can buy up to four tickets. Pay in cash, collect your tickets and receipt, and you’re ready to join the festivities.

Ticket Prices for Republic Day Events

Here’s a quick rundown of ticket prices:

  • Republic Day Parade: ₹100 (unreserved) and ₹20 (limited view).
  • Beating Retreat Full Dress Rehearsal: ₹20.
  • Beating Retreat Ceremony: ₹100.

Booking Made Easy with the Aamantran App

For those who love doing everything on their phones, the Defence Ministry has introduced the Aamantran app. Available on iOS and Android, it makes booking tickets a breeze.

Download the app, follow the instructions under the “Tickets” section, and secure your spot with just a few taps.

Don’t miss the chance to witness this celebration of India’s unity and diversity. Whether online, offline, or via app, booking your tickets has never been easier!
