A day after the Upper House of the Parliament was adjourned for the day on March 14, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for 3 hours again shortly after reconvening on March 15.

Fracas ensued in Rajya Sabha over the Modi government's demand for an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on Indian democracy.

Gandhi, during his recent UK visit, had alleged that the structures of Indian democracy were under brutal attack and there was a full-scale assault on the country's institutions.
