At least 18 locations associated with specific vendors, contractors, and purported middlemen are being scrutinized under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), these sources confirmed. It is alleged that significant amounts from the DMF were diverted and misappropriated through the Beej Nigam, or Seed Corporation, of Chhattisgarh. The DMF is a trust funded by mining companies, established in Chhattisgarh's districts with the goal of benefiting individuals affected by mining projects and related activities.
