Barsana is ready for Radhasthami with strategic zoning, enhanced security measures, and special transport arrangements to manage the influx of devotees.

Comprehensive Preparations in Barsana for Radhasthami Festival

Mathura (UP), August 25 (PTI): Plans have been finalized by the local administration for the upcoming Radhasthami festival, scheduled on August 30 and 31, with comprehensive crowd-management strategies in place. The town of Barsana has been systematically divided into six zones and 16 sectors to ensure smooth conduct of the festivities, which celebrate the birth of Radha, the beloved consort of Lord Krishna.

Following a thorough review meeting held in Barsana, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh confirmed the completion of preparations thus far. Accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar, they announced this strategic division aimed at managing the anticipated influx of devotees.

To accommodate this, vehicular movement heading towards Barsana will be regulated, and 50 designated parking areas are being readied in the proximity of the fair grounds. An official articulated these arrangements.

SSP Kumar outlined security measures, noting the deployment of an extensive police force across critical points in Barsana. Surveillance will be bolstered with installation of CCTV cameras at 160 key locations. He further stated that the ropeway facility will remain operational for devotees throughout the festival.

District Magistrate Singh elaborated on transport plans, mentioning that the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will mobilize 270 buses along several routes: Mayura-Barsana via Govardhan, Vrindavan-Barsana, Mathura-Barsana via Chhata, and Mathura-Barsana via Kosikalan.
