Sewerage project inaugurated in Punjab's Sakianwali to boost rural development

Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal inaugurated a sewerage project in Sakianwali village, marking a major step forward in the development of Ajnala Halqa.

The project, which had been stalled by previous governments, was finally completed under his leadership.

At the event, Dhaliwal reaffirmed the Aam Aadmi Party government’s commitment to utilizing public funds for the welfare of Punjab’s people. He stressed the importance of providing essential infrastructure, including sewerage systems, to villages that had long been neglected.

Addressing a key issue in Sakianwali, he noted that waterlogging had been a persistent problem, often affecting homes. He expressed satisfaction in delivering on his election promise by resolving this challenge.

Dhaliwal also outlined the government’s broader rural development plans, including the construction of drains, ponds, and playgrounds based on the Thapar model. These initiatives, backed by dedicated budget allocations, aim to enhance infrastructure and improve living standards in Punjab’s villages.
