The Punjab Government introduces ‘Aarambh,’ a play-based learning initiative to strengthen early childhood education by engaging parents in their child's development, starting in eight districts.

 Punjab launches ‘Aarambh' initiative to enhance early childhood education

The Punjab Government is set to launch the ‘Aarambh’ program, an initiative designed to involve parents in their child's early learning through interactive, play-based activities.

Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that this program marks a crucial step in strengthening foundational education for young learners.

Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that the first phase of ‘Aarambh’ will be rolled out in eight districts: Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Patiala, Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Ropar, and Amritsar. The initiative is expected to begin soon and will serve as a model for future expansion across the state.

Explaining the program’s objectives, she highlighted that ‘Aarambh’ aims to create an engaging learning environment, fostering cognitive, emotional, and social development among children. She underscored the Punjab Government’s commitment to enhancing early education and encouraging families to take an active role in their child’s academic growth.

Dr. Baljit Kaur mentioned that more details regarding the program’s implementation will be shared in the coming months. She encouraged parents and educators across Punjab to participate actively, making early education more effective and enjoyable.

Reaffirming the government's commitment to child development, she stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab is making continuous efforts toward holistic child growth. She expressed confidence that initiatives like ‘Aarambh’ will play a key role in achieving the vision of a ‘Rangla Punjab.’
