Punjab Elections 2022: Sidhu joins Delhi teachers' protest outside Kejriwal's residence

Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Sunday joined a protest by Delhi government guest teachers outside chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's house. The teachers are demanding permanent jobs.

While sitting with the protesters, Sidhu attacked the Delhi govt and said that school teachers in the capital are being treated as bonded labours and daily wagers.

He advised Delhi CM to put his house in order first and then preach to others, in a reference to speeches by Kejriwal at the election rallies in Punjab. Sidhu added that there is no guarantee of contract and the teachers are being removed without prior notice in Delhi.

This comes after Kejriwal joined a protest held by contractual teachers in Punjab on November 27 and assured them that he would deal with their issues on priority when the Aam Aadmi Party forms government in the state.
