How powerful is the Indian passport, in an era where international travel has been hit repeatedly by the Covid pandemic?

Henley & Partners, the London-based global citizenship and residence advisory firm released the Henley Passport Index for 2022, and here are how the rankings stand.

Japan and Singapore are reportedly tied for first place with a visa-free score of 192. This means that Japanese and Singapore citizens can travel to 192 countries visa-free or on a visa-on-arrival system. In second place are South Korea and Germany with a score of 190. Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain round off the Top 3 with a score of 189.

India improved its ranking from 90th to 83rd with a visa-free score of 60, as per reports. Neighbouring Pakistan is 108th in the list of 111. It has a score of 31.

At the bottom of the list are Afghanistan and Iraq, at positions 111 and 110, respectively.
