Video: TMC-BJP councillors fight during Kolkata Municipal Corporation session

During the monthly session of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), a brawl erupted after two councillors representing the ruling Trinamool Congress and the BJP argued on Sept 15, according to PTI.

The discord began when councillors began protesting against statements made by KMC chairperson Mala Roy and Mayor Firhad Hakim.

What initially started as a verbal altercation soon escalated into a physical altercation between the two groups of councillors.

Amidst the heated exchange of words, it is alleged that BJP councillor Sajal Ghosh and Trinamool councillor Asim Bose engaged in a physical confrontation.

Meanwhile as tension escalated, the session was temporarily postponed. However, it only resumed after the situation calmed down.
