Smriti Irani & daughter don't own Goa restaurant, Congress hatched conspiracy: Delhi HC

Calling the allegations a tirade of false scathing and belligernt personal attacks, the court said Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, Netta D'Souza along with oythers conspired against the BJP leader and her daughter.

In a setback for Congress, the Delhi High Court on Monday said that Union Minister Smriti Irani and her daughter are not the owners of Goa Restaurant and bar, therefore, dismissing Congress' allegations that Zoish Irani ran an illegal bar in Goa.

Calling the allegations 'a tirade of false scathing and belligernt personal attacks'' the court said Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, Netta D'Souza along with others conspired against the BJP leader and her daughter.

Referring to documents, the court stated there was no license ever issued in favour of the plaintiff (Irani) or her daughter adding that the plaintiff prima facie has established that she or her daughter never applied for license.

The court further stated that Congress leaders remarks are in the
'nature of slander and seem to be bogus with malicious intent, only to garner the highest amount of viewership thereby intenionally subjecting the plaintiff to a great public ridicule.'
