A video doing rounds on social media is purported to have showed him blowing candles and cutting a cake with a pistol with firecrackers bursting in the background.

A 21-year-old man was arrested from south Delhi's Neb Sarai area after he was seen cutting a cake with an illegal pistol in a video he uploaded online, police said on Saturday. The accused, identified as Aniket alias Anish from Sangam Vihar, was previously found involved in a case lodged in Malviya Nagar Police Station.

"Taking cognizance of a viral video on social media wherein a young man was cutting cake with a pistol, #DelhiPolice identified the accused and arrested him from Neb Sarai along with a .315 bore country made pistol &amp; 2 live rounds. Case registered u/s 25 Arms Act," police said on Twitter.
The incident was reported Thursday with the informant telling police that a criminal was seen roaming in the Sangam Vihar area with a weapon, a senior police officer said.
One country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession, Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) Chandan Chowdhary said.
The accused said that he had shot the video to gain social media clout and attract young followers to establish his identity among criminals, police added.

The court did not pass any order, and asked the petitioner to approach the next day "through proper process".

Days after the Election Commission recognised the Eknath Shinde faction as the real Shiv Sena, the Uddhav Thackeray camp moved the Supreme Court.
The issue was mentioned on 20 February 2023 before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud for an early listing. The court did not pass any order, and asked the petitioner to approach the next day "through proper process".
On 17 February, the Election Commission allotted Shiv Sena's 'bow and arrow' symbol to the Shinde faction. &nbsp;In a 78-page order on the protracted battle for control of the organisation, the Commission allowed the Uddhav Thackeray faction to keep the "flaming torch" poll symbol allocated to it till the completion of the assembly by-polls in the state.
The Commission said MLAs backing Shinde got nearly 76 per cent of votes polled in favour of the 55 winning Shiv Sena candidates in the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly polls. The Uddhav Thackeray faction's MLAs got 23.5 per cent of votes polled in favour of the winning Shiv Sena candidates, the three-member Commission said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said some people are hellbent to sully his image and they have given a &ldquo;supari&rdquo; (contract) for this purpose colluding with certain people sitting in India and also outside the country.
Modi&rsquo;s veiled attack on Congress comes amid a slugfest between the Grand Old Party and BJP over Rahul Gandhi&rsquo;s &ldquo;democracy under brutal attack in India&rdquo; remarks in the UK and Germany taking note of Rahul&rsquo;s disqualification from Lok Sabha. The BJP has accused the Congress of &ldquo;inviting foreign powers&rdquo; for interfering in India&rsquo;s internal matters.

Faridabad-based website 'InspireWebs' owner arrested by the cyber crime police in charges of data theft

The Cyberabad Police on Saturday said they arrested a person who was allegedly involved in stealing, holding and selling of personal and confidential data of 66.9 crore individuals and organisations belonging to 24 states and eight metropolitan cities.
A press release from the police said the accused, Vinay Bhardwaj, was found possessing data of students of Edu-tech organisations and also holds consumer/ customer data of major organisations like GST, Road transport organisations of various states, major e-commerce portals, social media platforms and fintech companies.
"The accused who was arrested on Friday was found selling personal and confidential data of about 66.9 crore individuals and organisations maintained in 104 categories," it said.
Some of the important data held by the accused includes the data of defence personnel, government employees, PAN card holders, data of 9th, 10th, 11 &amp; 12th standard students, senior citizens, Delhi electricity consumers, D-MAT account holders, mobile numbers of various individuals, NEET students, high net worth individuals, insurance holders, credit card and debit card holders among others, the release said.
The accused was operating through a website "InspireWebz" in Faridabad, Haryana and selling databases to clients through cloud drive links. The police seized two mobile phones and two laptops and data of 135 categories containing sensitive information of government, private organisations and individuals, it added.

Kanjhawala hit-and-drag case: Delhi Police files 800-page charge sheet 

According to the police, seven men were arrested and upon completion of the investigation, a charge sheet of around 800 pages was prepared with around 117 witnesses.

The Delhi Police on Saturday filed an 800-page charge sheet against seven accused in the Kanjhawala hit-and-drag case in which a 20-year-old woman was killed after being dragged under a car in the early hours of January 1.
Four of the seven accused &mdash; Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun and Manoj Mittal &mdash; have been charged with murder.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sanya Dalal has posted the matter for consideration of the final report on April 13.
Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun and Manoj Mittal were arrested on January 2.
Two other accused &mdash; Ashutosh Bhardwaj and Ankush &mdash; were earlier given bail by the court. Deepak Khanna&rsquo;s bail plea was rejected by a sessions court.
The other five accused were produced before the court, which extended their judicial custody till April 13.
According to the police, seven men were arrested and upon completion of the investigation, a charge sheet of around 800 pages was prepared with around 117 witnesses.
&ldquo;On the basis of the material and evidences collected during the investigation, to the best of capabilities, sufficient material has come on record to prosecute the accused,&rdquo; the police said.
According to the charge sheet, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun and Manoj Mittal have been booked for murder. Ashutosh and Amit Khanna were also booked under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
It said all the accused were booked for criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence, harbouring offender, common intention and false information, with intent to cause public servant to use his lawful power to the injury of another person.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) had earlier said that this is the eleventh Vande Bharat train service in the country. The indigenously designed train set of Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities.
