Ex-WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been charged under section 10 of the POCSO act in the 2nd FIR which is based on the complaint of a minor wrestler's father.&nbsp; As per the Indian Express, the father in the FIR alleged, 'holding her tightly, pretending to get a picture clicked, the accused squeezed her towards himself, pressed hard on her shoulder and then deliberately brushing his hands against her breasts' The FIR also mentions that minor had told the accused that she was not interested in any form of physical relationship and that he should stop stalking her.&nbsp; As per the FIR, Brij Bhushan has been booked for Aggravated Sexual Assault which falls under section 10 of the POCSO act cognisable and non-bailable, which means the police have the right to make an arrest and the accused (Brij Bhushan) will only get the bail after a special court grants him.&nbsp;

The second mission to Mars is in the study phase as the Indian space agency is looking at various options available to make the mission happen, a senior ISRO scientist said on Thursday.
The Mars mission has to be bigger with more scientific outcome, M Sankaran, Director, UR Rao Satellite Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) told PTI.
"If you are talking about a new mission to Mars, then that is still in the study phase. We are looking at various options available to us for making a mission happen. It has to be significantly bigger or with more scientific outcome with respect to Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). We are still in the study phase and we are configuring it," Sankaran told PTI.
India had successfully launched its first Mars Orbiter Mission called Mangalyaan on November 5, 2013, which started orbiting the red planet from September 24, 2014. The orbiter lost contact in October 2022 and thus the Mangalyaan-1 mission came to an end.
Regarding Chandrayaan-3, he said the lunar spacecraft had already reached the launch port.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first batch of eight spotted felines from Namibia into a quarantine enclosure at Kuno in Madhya Pradesh on September 17 last year. In a second such translocation, 12 cheetahs were flown in from South Africa and released into Kuno on February 18.
Three cheetahs died in March and April. Of the 17 remaining adult cheetahs, seven have already been released into the wild. The death of three adult cheetahs and three of the four cubs born to a female Namibian cheetah, Sisaya, has prompted questions from several experts on the suitability of the habitat and wildlife management.
 "It's an international project and we had anticipated mortality. It's mentioned in our report too (cheetah introduction action plan). One of the cheetahs was unwell before it even came to India. We have provided the reasons for the deaths of the two other (adult) cheetahs.
"The three cubs died due to extreme heat. The temperature soared to 47 degrees Celsius... We take responsibility for whatever happened. However, the project will be a major success and the whole country will be proud of it," he said in reply to a question at Times Network's conclave.
Shortly after news emerged about the death of two cheetah cubs last week, the Centre set up an 11-member high-level steering committee to review and monitor the progress of the Cheetah reintroduction programme.

The steering committee met for the first time on Wednesday and decided to release seven more cheetahs, including two females, into the wild by the third week of June.

During interrogating, they revealed the names of their three other associates --Dharmendra alias Dharma, Deepak alias Dilawar and Bharat -- who were also apprehended near Rajiv Chowk Devi Lal Stadium, the police said.
The 10 accused arrested told the police that they were active shooters working for Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar. &nbsp;"They had come to Gurugram to carry out a major dacoity and kidnapping. Their plan involved posing as police officers, with Joginder impersonating a police inspector. The intention was to kidnap someone and demand a ransom of crores of rupees. However, the police managed to apprehend them before they could execute their plan," said Vijay Pratap Singh, DCP, Crime.

Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Jyoti Nain had on Tuesday permitted the police to quiz Sahil in custody for two days.

A Delhi court on Thursday extended the custodial interrogation of the accused in the Shahbad Dairy murder case for three days.
Due to security reasons, Sahil (20) was produced at the duty metropolitan magistrate's residence, court sources said.
Sahil stabbed 16-year-old Sakshi over 20 times and bludgeoned her to death with a concrete block in public view in Shahbad Dairy area of northwest Delhi on Sunday evening. She had 34 injury marks on her body and her skull was smashed, according to police.
Sahil was arrested from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh and brought to the national capital late on Monday evening.
Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Jyoti Nain had on Tuesday permitted the police to quiz Sahil in custody for two days.
Police had earlier sought his custody on the grounds that the weapon of offence had not been recovered and that the accused was frequently changing his statements

The Supreme Court will today hear a batch of pleas on the Manipur situation including one by a ruling BJP MLA challenging the high court order on the issue of Scheduled Tribe status to the Meitei community.&nbsp;
The bunch will also include a PIL by a tribal outfit for an SIT probe into the violence that rocked the northeastern state last week.
The clashes between Meiteis and tribals started in Churachandpur district on May 3. The tribals are opposing reservation to the Meiteis following the March 27 Manipur High Court order that asked the state government to send a recommendation to the Centre within four weeks on the demand for ST status by the Meitei community.

Amid a raging protest by some star wrestlers against the chief of the wrestling federation Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, details have emerged of how he allegedly molested several athletes.
In the FIR filed by Delhi Police, at least 6 adult wrestlers claimed to have been physically harassed, as per an Indian Express report.
One wrestler said that the BJP MP groped her breast and stomach at a hotel restaurant, and again at his office on the pretext of checking her breathing.
Wrestler number 2 said that once when she was on the wrestling mat, Singh pulled up her T-shirt and touched her breast and stomach with the excuse of examining her breathing. She said that he tried to have forceful physical contact in his office too.
Wrestler number 3 made a similar allegation of her T-shirt being pulled up and stomach touched.
Another athlete claimed that when she was standing in the last row for a team photograph, Singh stood next to her and touched her buttock, and didn't allow her to move away.

WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh allegedly offered to buy supplements for a wrestler in exchange for sexual favours.

With details emerging from FIRs filed against wrestling federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, at least two wrestlers have alleged bribery and coercion attempts by the BJP MP, as per an Indian Express report.
One wrestler said that Brij Bhushan sought sexual favours in exchange for buying her supplements which she may need as an athlete. The wrestler said that as she did not possess a mobile phone at the time, Brij Bhushan made her talk to her parents on the phone. Then, he allegedly called her towards his bed, and hugged her suddenly without permission.
Another wrestler has said that Brij Bhushan pulled her towards him on the pretext of getting a photograph clicked. When she resisted, Brij Bhushan allegedly said, "Are you acting too smart? Don't you want to participate in future tournaments?"

6 adult wrestlers and a minor wrestler have mentioned at least 15 incidents of sexual harassment in the 2 FIRs that they have filed with the Delhi Police against the ex-WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.&nbsp; The FIR that was filed on 28th April includes at least 10 episodes of inappropriate touching, and molestation that include running of hands on the breasts, touching the navel, and intimidation including stalking. They also include 2 instances of demanding sexual favours in lieu of professional help, revealed an Indian Express report.&nbsp; As per the report, Brij Bhushan has been slapped with Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354a (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 34 (common intention) in both the FIRs.&nbsp; While the first FIR registers the allegations of the 6 adult wrestlers and also mentions WFI secretary Vinod Tomar's name, the second that has been filed by a minor invokes section 10 of the POCSO act. The incidents allegedly mentioned in the FIR have taken place in India and overseas from 2012 to 2020.&nbsp;
