Amid the ongoing bitter quarrel over Punjab Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira's arrest, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has asserted that the party is committed to the INDIA alliance, and it will not break away from it.

At a press conference in New Delhi Kejriwal said, "The AAP is committed towards the INDIA alliance. We will not break away from the alliance. We are committed to fulfilling the dharma of the alliance, adding the Bhagwant Mann government is committed to ending the drug menace in the state since it has destroyed the youth. Be it an influential person or a small-time person, no one will be spared. I am not commenting on any particular incident since the details are not with me," he said.

Pertinently, Punjab Congress had hit out at the AAP government for action against Khaira in a 2015 drug case and had called it a political vendetta.

Meanwhile, AAP had rejected the allegations saying the action is not politically motivated and said the action was taken according to the law.
