India's legislators queued up to pick the country's next President on 18 July.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was seen in a wheelchair as he arrived at the Parliament to cast his vote. Officials helped the Congress veteran put his ballot paper into the box.

All eyes were on former Union minister Jayant Sinha. He is a BJP leader and Member of Parliament, but his father Yashwant Sinha is the Opposition candidate for the Presidential post.

In the states, Chief Ministers led the ballot process. In Droupadi Murmu's camp, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Goa CM Pramod Sawant, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Himachal CM Jairam Thakur, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik were seen voting.

In Yashwant Sinha's camp, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia were seen voting.

Counting of votes will take place on 21 July, and Murmu is expected to have a comfortable win.
