Gold, cash found outside BJP MLC's house in Mumbai; Prasad Lad says suspicious looking man dumped it

In an unusual incident, a bag full of gold, silver, cash, and other valuables was dumped outside the house of a BJP legislator in Mumbai. Prasad Lad was alerted about the incident by security personnel deployed outside his house.

Lad is a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of Maharashtra. The BJP leader said that a man had been spotted acting suspiciously outside his house. When security personnel approached him, he dumped the bag and fled.

Maharashtra Police are searching for the man with the help of CCTV cameras. MLC Lad expressed fear that in future, a similar bag could contain material which might be harmful for him and his family. Lad has sought increased patrolling at night.

The BJP leader told news agency ANI, "Around 5:30 am this morning, the security personnel outside my house called me up and told me that someone left a bag outside the building. We phoned the police, the control room, and the additional commissioner. Inside the bag, cash, gold, silver, and other items were found."
