Devendra Fadnavis' 'deal with Mumbai bomber' charge on Nawab Malik

Nawab Malik Vs Devendra Fadnavis saga got uglier on Tuesday as the two leaders accused each other of underworld links

Devendra Fadnavis' 'deal with Mumbai bomber' charge on Nawab Malik

The Nawab Malik versus Devendra Fadnavis saga is getting uglier by day.

Former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who had promised a 'dhamaka' on NCP leader Nawab Malik, on Tuesday accused the Maharashtra minister of engaging in dubious property deals with two Bombay blast convicts.

He alleged that Nawab Malik, through a company, Solidus Investments Pvt Limited, owned by his family, bought a prime property in Kurla, by undervaluing the land.

“The property was bought from 1993 Bombay blast convicts Salim Patel and Sardar Shahab Ali Khan at throwaway prices between 2003 and 2005," he said.

Malik purchased land from the blasts convicts at below market rates, the BJP leader alleged. "Was this deal to save prime land from being forfeited under TADA law?" he further asked.

Fadnavis alleged that the total deal for the nearly 3-acre plot was Rs 30 lakh but the amount paid was only Rs 20 lakh. “The amount went to the accounts of Salim Patel and SA Khan,” he said.

Malik responded to Fadnavis allegations saying that his sources are wrong. He further promised to expose the BJP leader's underworld links on Wednesday.

Fadnavis' allegations on Nawab Malik came after the NCP leader alleged that former CM and his wife had links with drug mafia.
