AAP to set up mohalla clinics at 8 metro stations. Here's a list of the stations

The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP govt is all set to take its ‘mohalla’ clinics or neighbourhood clinics initiative to the metro stations.

According to media reports, the Delhi govt will open mohalla clinics at eight metro stations in the national capital. The eight stations are Lal Quila, Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk, Uttam Nagar West, Ramesh Nagar and Nehru Enclave.

According to an Indian Express report, the AAP govt wants to set up the clinics outside the metro stations so that people don’t have to buy a token in order to go inside the station and see the doctor.

The mohalla clinic initiative by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal started in 2015. In the past 7 years, 505 mohalla clinics have been opened all over Delhi.

The clinics are generally set up in residential areas, markets, near schools so that Delhi citizens who cannot afford medical care can get themselves treated for free.
