Kanpur (UP), May 26 (PTI) – Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's impending visit to Kanpur on May 30 were rigorously reviewed on Monday by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar. The inspection took place at the Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural University, where they examined the routes, helipad, event venue, and designated parking zones.

Later, a high-level review meeting convened at the HBTU auditorium saw the participation of ADG (Kanpur Zone) Alok Singh. In this meeting, the chief secretary issued directives to senior officials to ensure the timely completion of all necessary preparations. He emphasized providing essential amenities like drinking water, mobile toilets, and medical assistance for the attendees, especially in light of the peak summer temperatures.

Additionally, a special citywide cleaning drive has been ordered in anticipation of the prime minister's arrival. Senior police officials have been instructed to guarantee smooth traffic flow and effective management of vehicle parking arrangements.

The DGP underscored the importance of strict adherence to security protocols and advised officials to work closely with the Special Protection Group (SPG) and the National Security Guard (NSG). He also emphasized selecting parking spots that would minimize the walking distance for attendees to the venue.

Those present during the inspection and review meeting included Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar, District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, Chief Development Officer Deeksha Jain, and other senior district officials.
