On camera: auto-rickshaw driver harasses 'outsider' bike taxi rider for 'stealing customers'

A video of an auto-rickshaw driver in Bengaluru smashing the helmet of a Rapido bike taxi rider is going viral. He is reportedly venting his anger against bike taxis and people from outside the city for hampering their daily income.

"You come from a different place and do this service... It is a loss to auto drivers," the auto driver said in a video as per NDTV.

The video shows him hitting the helmet forcefully in front of the bike rider who looks visibly intimidated by his actions. The auto driver also raised his hand to hit the bike rider but stopped and instead looked into the camera to speak against the bike service.

An eyewitness who shot the video sought police action against the auto-driver. Bengaluru police registered a case after the video went viral, NDTV reported. It also said that strict action will be taken against the auto driver.
