A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, which showed the vehicle burst into flames and plumes of black smoke billowing out.
Although the car was completely destroyed in the incident, no casualties were reported.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. Multiple incidents of electric vehicles catching fire have been reported recently.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's 'wagh nakh' or the 'tiger claw' is set to return to India in November from a London-based museum.

The Victoria and Albert ( V and A) Museum is all set to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government next week, which will see 17th century &lsquo;Tiger Claws&rsquo; weapon believed to have belonged to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj make a journey back to India for an exhibition.
During a protracted military engagement in 1659, the legendary Maratha leader held metal claws, or wagh nakh, concealed in his hand and is said to have disembowelled his opponent Afzal Khan &ndash; the commander of the opposing Bijapur army.
It is believed, though unverified, that the set of claws then came into the possession of James Grant Duff, an officer of the East India Company who was appointed Resident or political agent of the Satara state in 1818 and gifted to the V and A by a descendant.
&ldquo;The V and A looks forward to welcoming senior leadership from the Maharashtra government, to sign a memorandum of understanding,&rdquo; a V and A spokesperson said.
&ldquo;The story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj&rsquo;s triumph over Afzal Khan is legendary, so we are delighted that the &lsquo;Tiger Claws&rsquo; will return to India as part of the 350th anniversary events where they can be enjoyed as part of the celebrations. We hope that their display might also enable new research into their history and look forward to working in partnership with colleagues in the months ahead as we develop plans for their display,&rdquo; the spokesperson said.
The MoU, expected to be signed on Tuesday, coincides with Maharashtra&rsquo;s 350th anniversary celebrations of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji. It is then expected to be dispatched to India later this year for an agreed period.
According to the V and A, the weapon is accompanied by a fitted case made after Grant Duff returned to Scotland. The inscription on the case reads: &ldquo;The 'Wagnuck' of Sivajee With Which He Killed the Moghul General. This Relic was given to Mr. James Grant-Duff of Eden When he was Resident at Satara By the Prime Minister of the Peshwa of the Marathas".
According to historical accounts, Shivaji and Afzal Khan had arranged a truce after political upheavals in order to meet in a tented enclosure, virtually alone.
The V and A description of the history of the 'Tiger Claws' explains: &ldquo;Both came armed: Shivaji wore mail under his clothes and metal skull protection under his turban. He also held a metal &lsquo;Tiger Claws&rsquo; weapon concealed in his hand. The two men fought, and Shivaji disembowelled his opponent.
&ldquo;The last Peshwa (Prime Minister) of the Marathas, Baji Rao II, surrendered to the British in June 1818 after defeat in the Third Anglo-Maratha War and was banished to Bithoor near Kanpur. It is possible he also surrendered this weapon to Grant Duff. It has not been possible to verify whether these tiger claws are the ones used by Shivaji nearly 160 years earlier.&rdquo;

However, there has been no formal statement from the UK police on these claims.
Notably, the claims came to the fore on the very day elements from outside Scotland deliberately disrupted a planned interaction organised for the Indian High Commissioner, Vikram Doraiswami.
&ldquo;They were threatened and abused by these elements. In an effort to prevent any potential altercation, the HC and CG decided to leave the premises shortly upon their arrival,&rdquo; India&rsquo;s High Commission to UK said in a statement.

Convicted as a conspirator in the assassination, Hawara is serving life imprisonment in Delhi's Tihar jail.

In a letter, Glasgow gurdwara committee has assured the High Commissioner that the three persons involved in the unsavory incident were not part of their regular congregation and were unknown to the community, Hindustan Times reported.
The committee has requested the High Commissioner to visit the Gurudwara again the report said.

The Afghanistan Embassy in New Delhi announced Saturday night that it is ceasing its operations from October 1, citing a "lack of support from the host government", failure to meet expectations in serving Afghanistan's interests, and reduction in personnel and resources.
In a statement, the Afghanistan Embassy in New Delhi said it regrets announcing the decision to cease its operations, effective October 1, 2023.
"It is with profound sadness, regret, and disappointment that the Embassy of Afghanistan in New Delhi announces this decision to cease its operations," the statement said.
The embassy said that this decision, while deeply regrettable, was made after careful consideration, taking into account the historic ties and long-standing partnership between Afghanistan and India.
The embassy statement also listed key factors affecting its ability to continue the mission effectively and said that they were the primary reasons for the "unfortunate closure".
The embassy cited a "lack of support from the host government", alleging that it has experienced a notable absence of crucial support from the host government, which it said hindered its ability to carry out duties effectively.
The mission also cited "failure to meet expectations in serving Afghanistan's interests" as one of the reasons.
"We acknowledge our shortcomings in meeting the expectations and requirements necessary to serve the best interests of Afghanistan and its citizens due to the lack of diplomatic support in India and the absence of a legitimate functioning government in Kabul," the mission said.
It also said that due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, there has been a significant reduction in both personnel and resources available to it, making it increasingly challenging to continue operations.
"The lack of timely and sufficient support from visa renewal for diplomats to other critical areas of cooperation led to an understandable frustration among our team and impeded our ability to carry out routine duties effectively," the statement said.
Given these circumstances, "it is with deep regret that we have taken the difficult decision to close all operations of the mission with the exception of emergency consular services to Afghan citizens till the transfer of the custodial authority of the mission to the host country," it said.
The embassy has been headed by Ambassador Farid Mamundzay.
Mamundzay was appointed by the previous Ashraf Ghani government and he has been operating as the Afghan envoy even after the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in August 2021.
In April-May, the embassy was rocked by a power struggle in the wake of reports of the Taliban appointing a charge d'affaires to head the mission, replacing Mamundzay.

Aware of the infighting at the embassy that erupted at the end of April 2023, the MEA had not taken sides.
The Indian Express, quoting sources, said it had conveyed to both sides that it was an internal matter they needed to settle themselves.
India had closed its embassy after the Taliban took over the country, and the Ashraf Ghani government collapsed in August 2021.
It now has a technical team to coordinate humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan.

Foreign conspiracy behind ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur: NIA

The NIA have so far arrested two persons from Manipur, one Meitei and one tribal, for their alleged involvement in the 'conspiracy'.

Probe agency NIA has revealed that militant groups based in Myanmar and Bangladesh conspired with a section of militant groups in India to carry out violent activities in Manipur, India Today reported on Sunday.&nbsp;
'Investigation revealed that Myanmar and Bangladesh-based militant groups have entered into a conspiracy with a section of militant leaders in India to indulge in incidents of violence with an intention to drive a wedge between different ethnic groups and to wage war against the Government of India', the NIA said in a statement according to media reports.&nbsp;
Earlier in the week, the anti-terror agency arrested two individuals for their alleged involvement in the conspiracy.
Relentless ethic violence in Manipur since May 3, 2023 has claimed more 160 lives as per official figure.
Several hundreds have been injured and thousands displaced in violent protests between the Meitei and Kuki communities in the state.&nbsp;

According to the woman, three men, who arrived in a police&nbsp; vehicle, slapped her fiance and demanded ₹10,000 for letting them go.
&ldquo;It was around 12 noon when three men arrived on a PRV and started threatening us. They slapped my fiance and one of them demanded ₹10,000 for letting us go. We requested them with folded hands and even touched their feet but they did not budge. Later, Rakesh Kumar behaved badly and started forcing me to get physical with him. The third man also demanded ₹5.5 lakhs... We were held there for three hours during which the suspects repeatedly touched me inappropriately...,&rdquo; the woman said in the FIR, as per Hindustan Times.
The suspects continued to harass her over the phone even after the incident and visited her house.
A senior police official said that the woman initially did not report the incident for several days but later she dialled the police emergency number when the suspects continued troubling her.
An FIR has been registered. The accused are absconding.

In a recent episode of "Mann Ki Baat", Modi appealed for "one hour of shramdaan for swachhata" on October 1 by all citizens and said it would be a "Swachhanjali" to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary.
