Bhubaneswar, Sep 5 (PTI) A plane carrying Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was diverted to Kolkata on Friday morning after it could not land in Bhubaneswar due to adverse weather conditions, as informed by a state minister. Majhi was returning from a five-day trip to Delhi and was supposed to arrive at Bhubaneswar airport around 9:45 am. "The flight was unable to land here and had to be redirected to Kolkata due to the poor weather," stated Odisha’s Urban Development Minister K C Mohapatra to reporters. Biju Patnaik International Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan mentioned that Majhi’s flight circled above the airport for approximately 21 minutes during heavy rain before being diverted to Kolkata.
