According to the spokesperson on Tara Air the Twin Otter 9N-AET plane took off at 10:15 am from Pokhara, and lost contact with the tower 15 minutes after it flew.

Four Indians were among 22 on board a Nepalese plane which crashed in Mustang district of Nepal -- adjoining Tibet-- near Lete hill area on Sunday.

The Tara Air airplane carrying 19 passengers, including four Indians, was on way from Pokhara to Jomsom when it lost contact with the Air Trafic Controller at 10. 30 am local time.

According to the spokesperson on Tara Air the Twin Otter 9N-AET plane took off at 10:15 am from Pokhara, and lost contact with the tower 15 minutes after it flew.

Besides the Indians, the plane was carrying two Germans and 13 Nepalis along with three crew members.

Local news reports said that the four Indians were possibly on a pilgrimage to the famous Muktinath Temple.

The crew members include a senior instructor pilot, co-pilot and an air hostess.

It is suspected that the aircraft crashed in the Dhaulagiri area. Local authorities said that two choppers have from Jomsom to search for the aircraft.
