N Chandrababu Naidu Highlights TDP's Achievements at TDP Mahanadu in Kadapa

Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh), May 27 (PTI) — TDP's pivotal contributions to major decisions taken by successive central governments and its influential role in welfare, reforms, and development were highlighted by party leader N Chandrababu Naidu at the party's annual meeting, TDP Mahanadu. Naidu stated that the party has demonstrated resilience through numerous challenges over its 43-year history.

"Many predicted the party's end, but its flag continues to fly high," Naidu remarked. According to him, the TDP has significantly influenced central government decisions, often setting precedents for national policies, citing the party's thought leadership in Andhra Pradesh as having a broader influence across India.

Naidu emphasized the sacrifices made by the party cadre during the previous YSRCP regime, noting the loss of numerous TDP workers’ lives. He assured that those sacrifices would be honored and supported by the party.

Naidu described the TDP as uniquely impactful among India's political parties, maintaining robust organizational strength, as evidenced by completing its membership drive with one crore members in just 45 days.

Discussing TDP's advocacy for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Naidu recalled proposing digital currency to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 2016 demonetisation, suggesting the removal and introduction of specific currency notes to tackle corruption more effectively.

Calling the Kadapa Mahanadu "historic", Naidu expressed confidence in continuing the TDP’s electoral success by winning all Assembly seats in future elections within the YSR stronghold. He reaffirmed TDP's commitment to fighting corruption and promoting truth and transparency.

Naidu highlighted TDP's battles from the streets to the state Assembly, such as the Obulapuram mining scam, symbolizing their fight for justice and people’s rights. Asserting the NDA government's commitment to accountability, he stressed that those guilty of corruption would face consequences.

With strategic vision and central government support, Naidu claimed that a strong foundation is being built for a prosperous Andhra Pradesh, freeing people from fear, vendetta politics, and misgovernance. Reflecting on TDP's historical contributions, such as abolishing the patel-patwari system, introducing welfare measures, and promoting IT jobs, he underscored the party's legacy as a pioneer in political reforms.

Looking ahead, Naidu predicted unprecedented development in the next 20 years and pledged to complete the Polavaram project, use Godavari water in Rayalaseema, reduce logistics costs, and transform Andhra Pradesh into a green energy hub. Aligning with PM Modi’s vision for a developed India, Naidu outlined Swarna Andhra@-047 as a strategic plan to achieve a GSDP of USD 2.4 trillion.

Naidu reiterated his Super Six poll promises, including Talliki Vandanam and Annadata Sukhibhava, pledging these initiatives will support children and farmers and enable free bus travel for women starting August 15. He called for greater synergy among NDA partners—TDP, BJP, and Janasena—to ensure electoral success.

The three-day 'TDP Mahanadu', the annual ruling party conclave in Andhra Pradesh, commenced on Tuesday and will continue until May 29.
