Of the total 44 locations being raided by the NIA since this morning, the agency sleuths have searched 1 place in Karnataka, 2 in Pune, 31 in Thane Rural, 9 in Thane city and 1 in Bhayandar, the media agency said.

Aman was arrested by the officials of the Bihar Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department on Thursday on charges of consuming liquor and violating the state's prohibition laws. The sale and consumption of alcohol is banned in Bihar since April 2016.

A 22-year-old man, who was arrested for consuming liquor in dry Bihar, was found dead inside the lockup of a police station in Munger district, an official said on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Aman of Bageshwari area, was found hanging from the ventilator of the toilet attached to the lockup of the prohibition department police station at 2 am, he said.
Aman's family alleged that he was tortured in the lockup, following which he died. A police case was also registered, and an investigation started.
Aman was arrested by the officials of the Bihar Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department on Thursday on charges of consuming liquor and violating the state's prohibition laws.
The sale and consumption of alcohol is banned in Bihar since April 2016.
Talking to reporters, Suman Kumar, Inspector (Excise and Prohibition department), said, "Aman was found hanging in the toilet attached to the lockup at 2 am on Friday. He was immediately taken to the district hospital, where he was declared dead." "After medical examinations, he was kept in the department's lockup along with four other persons. The matter is being investigated," he added.
Aman's family alleged that custodial torture led to his death.
His father Upendra Mandal lodged a police complaint against "unknown officials" of the Prohibition Department.
"A case has been registered at the Kotwali police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the deceased's family. The matter is being investigated," said Rajesh Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Munger Sadar.

&nbsp;the Income Tax department on Friday found 156 bags of cash during search for the third consecutive day at Sudapada in Bolangir district, also linked to the distillery group, officials said.
From the bags, Rs 25 crore were counted till Friday afternoon, taking the total amount recovered so far to Rs 225 crore.
"Of the 156 bags, only 7/8 were counted and the amount found was Rs 25 crore," an official said.
The raids were carried out at Sambalpur, Bolangir, Titilagarh, Boudh, Sundargarh, Rourkela and Bhubaneswar.
Around Rs 200 crore in cash was seized on Thursday during raids at the Bolangir office of Baldeo Sahu &amp; Group of Companies, one of the biggest country-liquor manufacturers in western Odisha.
The raids were conducted at some houses, offices, and distillery at Sargipali in Sundargarh city on Wednesday.
The company is yet to provide any reaction to the raids.

The NHRC has issued notices to the Manipur government and the state's police chief over reports that at least 13 people were killed in a gunfight in Leithao village in the Tengnoupal district, officials said on Friday.
The incident, as reported, indicates a "lapse" on the part of the law enforcing agencies and the forces deployed to ensure peace and law and order in the state, the rights panel said in a statement.
The National Human Rights Commission observed that the reported loss of 13 lives in an area, which remained calm since the tension erupted in the state of Manipur in May this year, is "alarming and disturbing".
The rights panel has taken suo motu cognisance of a media report that "at least 13 people were killed in a gun fight in Leithao village near Saibol in the Tengnoupal district, Manipur. Reportedly, the incident happened on December 4," it said.
The commission has observed that the contents of the media report, if true, amount to a serious issue of human rights violations and is a matter of concern.
Accordingly, it has issued notices to the state's chief secretary and the director general of police, seeking a detailed report within two weeks, the statement said.
It should include the status of the FIR registered by the police and steps taken by the state government to ensure that such incidents of violence do not take place anywhere in the state, the rights panel said.
"The state of Manipur and its people have already suffered a lot. It is firmly reiterated that it is the duty of the state to protect the life and properties of its citizens both private and public and to promote fraternity and spirit of brotherliness amongst the communities," it said.
The NHRC since May 2023 has received several complaints from individuals, NGOs and activists alleging violation of human rights during the incidents of violence in Manipur, the statement said.

The commission said these matters are being considered by the full bench of the commission and were also discussed at length, during its camp sitting at Guwahati, Assam on November 17. Senior officers from the government of Manipur, as well as the representatives of the complainants and civil society were also present, the statement said.
According to the media report, carried on December 5, the village has nine houses and around 120 residents. However, no casualties were reported from among the villagers.
Prima facie, it is suspected that the victims of the violence could even be militants from Myanmar since the nearby hills from Leithao are a common route used by them to enter Manipur, it said.
Reportedly, this is the highest single-day loss of life in the violence that erupted in Manipur this year, it added.&nbsp;

In her written reply in Lok Sabha, Irani said, "At present, there is no proposal under consideration of the Government to make provision for paid menstrual leave mandatory for all workplaces".
"Menstruation is a physiological phenomenon among women and only a small proportion of women/ girls suffer from severe dysmenorrhea or similar complaints; and most of these cases are manageable by medication," Irani said in her reply.
The minister added that various types of leave are available to a female government employee under the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972 in the form of earned leave, half-pay leave, extraordinary leave, child care leave, commuted leave, maternity leave, leave on medical certificate, leave not due, etc.&nbsp;

To this, Pralhad Joshi talked about the cash-for-query row against Mahua Moitra and said, "Mahua accepted the allegation and she said that she got certain brands' scarf, lipstick, she did not deny all this."
Pralhad Joshi further said that in the Parliament, she asked around 60-65 questions but never asked about her constituency. Joshi further said, "She asked questions for money and it has been proved, she accepted it, what other proof do you want? This is the biggest proof."
He concluded by saying that several TMC MPs are happy with her expulsion.&nbsp;

BJP MLA T Raja Singh, who won from Goshamahal in last month's assembly elections, said in a video message that he would never take oath "as long as he is alive" in front of the AIMIM.&nbsp;

Newly elected BJP MLAs in Telangana boycotted the oath ceremony as it was being administered by pro-tem speaker Akbaruddin Owaisi whose appointment was finalised violating the Assembly rules, the party has alleged.
Owaisi was appointed as pro-tem Speaker though there were other senior members in the House, state BJP president G Kishan Reddy alleged.
"There is a tradition of a senior person being appointed as the pro-tem Speaker in the Assembly. The BJP opposes the appointment of AIMIM's Akbaruddin Owaisi as pro-tem Speaker as per an understanding (of Congress) with AIMIM," Reddy told reporters.
Observing that Congress has only a wafer-thin majority in the Assembly, he claimed that the government is faced with a situation of collapsing even for a small pretext. In view of this, the AIMIM member is made the pro-tem Speaker as per a plan, he alleged.
"Because of the violation of the legislative assembly's rules, we are opposing the appointment of the AIMIM person as the pro-tem Speaker. Therefore, our members are boycotting from taking oath with him in the chair," he said.
The Congress has begun its appeasement politics and violation of the traditions of legislative assembly just three days after assuming power, Reddy alleged.
He pointed out that the BJP has already claimed that there is a tacit understanding between Congress and AIMIM.
During the recent election campaign, it was alleged (by Congress) that the BJP and AIMIM were one.
Now, Telangana people should know on what criteria Owaisi has been made as pro-tem Speaker in violation of rules, Reddy said.
The true colours of Congress have come out again, he added.
The BJP would like the election of Speaker to be held after the appointment of a senior member as pro-tem Speaker. The party would take up the issue with the Governor, he said.
The BJP MLAs would take oath after the regular Speaker assumes office, Reddy said.

After AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi was appointed the pro-tem speaker for the first session of the newly-elected third Telangana State Legislative Assembly on Friday, three-time BJP MLA from Goshamahal, Raja Singh said he will not take oath if Owaisi presides over the oath-taking ceremony.
In a video message, Raja Singh called it &ldquo;unfortunate" and said the Congress' real face has come to the fore after it formed the government in Telangana.
&ldquo;After Congress formed the government and Revanth Reddy became the CM, Congress' real face has come to the fore. The Delhi Police's Special Cell has apprehended two members of the Lawrence Bishnoi criminal gang following a brief exchange of fire in the Vasant Kunj area here, police said on Saturday.
One of them is a juvenile.
They -- Anish (23) and a 15-year-old -- were apprehended from near Pocket-9 of Vasant Kunj on Friday night, they said. &nbsp;Police had information that the duo had been tasked to "fire" outside a prominent hotel in South Delhi, police said and added that the motive seemed to be of extortion.
They had received instructions from Amit, lodged at a jail in Punjab, on the directions of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, they said. &nbsp;Anmol Bishnoi is a cousin of Lawrence Bishnoi and it is suspected that he is hiding in Canada.
Lawrence Bishnoi is lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati jail. &nbsp;
Five rounds were fired by the accused and in retaliation, two rounds by police in self defence. No one was injured, police said.
Police has seized two pistols and four live cartridges, and one motorcycle. &nbsp;
Anish is named in six cases of armed robbery, the Arms Act and assault and the juvenile in a armed robbery case in Haryana's Rohtak district.
